Workshop Cyanotype on Canvas
Can you take a photo without a camera? Absolutely! Discover how this works and create a blueprint on a canvas bag using your own drawings, a candy wrapper, flowers, or anything you happen to have in your pocket.

Tour: 'Me and the Other'
Me and the other is a tour where you explore different perspectives of viewing through photos from the Gallery of Honour. During the tour, you'll step into various "shoes": your own, the photographer's, and the subject's. Through various viewing tasks, you'll be challenged to critically examine an image, yourself, and others.

Photography Summer Class
In this photography workshop, you'll learn the finer details of the craft. After attending this summer class, aperture, shutter speed, and composition will hold no secrets for you. You'll apply the theory and get hands-on experience to create a professional-quality photo.

This themed route takes you through images related to the history of slavery. In what ways do you see the legacy of slavery influencing the present?

This themed route takes you through the history of Rotterdam, with the Maas River as a central thread. You will learn more about the background of the photos, the photographers, and the subjects.

In the Gallery of Honour of Dutch Photography, 99 iconic photos narrate the story of the development of photography in the Netherlands from 1842 to the present.
Paul Julien traveled to various countries in Africa about fifteen times between 1932 and 1962. Since 2012, Andrea Stultiens has been studying how Paul Julien's work contributed to the image of Africa in the twentieth century.
While women in museums are often depicted as muses in artworks, the WOMXN project flips this narrative. It focuses on women taking control. How do they see themselves? How do they want to be portrayed? What do they consider relevant?
