In the Gallery of Honour of Dutch Photography, 99 iconic photos narrate the story of the development of photography in the Netherlands from 1842 to the present.
The new exhibition runs from September 28 to May 25: If only you knew of Çiğdem Yüksel. This exhibition tells the stories of the first women from Turkey who came to the Netherlands from the late 1960s to build a new life here.
From October 15 to December 8, the Nederlands Fotomuseum, in collaboration with the Steenbergen Foundation, will present the 27th edition of the Steenbergen Stipendium. This is the award for the best photographic graduation work created by a student from one of the Dutch art academies.
While women in museums are often depicted as muses in artworks, the WOMXN project flips this narrative. It focuses on women taking control. How do they see themselves? How do they want to be portrayed? What do they consider relevant?
