Gathered Reminders has over a dozen never seen before photos of Man Ray and tells amazing story of an intimate visit with this famous 20th century photographer and Dada artist. In 1972, Paul Levitt was a young art student visiting Paris when he had the idea to visit the Man Ray.
This book is a record of his serendipitous journey to Man Ray's home and studio on Rue Ferou. The memoir includes stories and photos of Levitt's continuing relationship with Man Ray's relatives, with correspondence with his wife Juliet and niece Naomi Savage, who gave Paul a photo of her famous uncle with Marcel Duchamp. The foreword is written by the renowned Dada scholar Francis Naumann.
This soft-cover 8" x 10" first edition of 400 copies contains 36 pages with over a dozen never seen before photos of Man Ray. The front and back covers show a personal postcard from Man Ray to Levitt.
