how to get there by public transport
The Nederlands Fotomuseum can be reached from the Rotterdam Central Station by taking tram 20 (direction of Lombardijen), 23 (direction of Beverwaard), 25 (direction of Carnisselande) or the Erasmus line subway (direction of Slinge or Spijkenisse), getting off at Wilhelminaplein. At the Wilhelminaplein subway station take the exit 'Luxor Theater - Wilhelminakade'.
watertaxi
The Nederlands Fotomuseum can also be reached by watertaxi. These boats leave every day from 09:00 till 24:00 hour and you will never have to wait longer than 10 minutes. The watertaxi leaves from Leuvenhaven (near the Maritiem Museum) and Veerhaven (near the Wereldmuseum). From here you can take the watertaxi to hotel New York and from there it is just a short walk to the museum.

by car from Utrecht, Gouda and Den Haag
• A16 in the direction of Dordrecht, keep to the right-hand lane
• Before the Brienenoord bridge take exit 25 Capelle a/d Ijssel and follow the signs to ‘Centrum’. Turn right at the roundabout, keeping the Shell petrol station on your right.
• Follow this dual carriageway along the Maas River for about 2.5 km and then turn left across the Erasmus Bridge.
• Turn right immediately after the Erasmus Bridge.
by car from Dordrecht
• A16 in the direction of Rotterdam
• Follow the Ring Oost, direction Centrum
• Exit Capelle a/d IJssel, Centrum
• At the end of the exit turn left at the traffic lights and follow the signs for Centrum. After the roundabout follow the dual carriageway along the Maas River for about 2.5 km and then turn left across the Erasmus Bridge.
• Turn right immediately after the Erasmus Bridge.
parking
Parking facilities can be found in the immediate vicinity of the museum, but payment can only be made with Chip Card or Credit Card. Cash payment is accepted at the multi-storey carpark World Port Center (P3) which is open from 6:30 to 23:30.
free parking
At subway station Slinge (3086 EZ) there is a supervised P+R area where you can park for free for the first 24 hours. It is open 24 hours a day and has place for 840 cars. From the subway station there is an Erasmusline train (direction of Central Station) every five minutes which takes you directly, and within the same public transport zone, to the Wilhelminaplein station. Take the exit ‘Luxor Theater – Wilhelminakade’. Travelling time from the subway station to the door of the museum is less than fifteen minutes.
coaches
There are free parking places for coaches on the other side of the River Maas, next to the Spido boarding point. On the A16 take the exit ‘Centrum’ (25) and continue along the Maas as far as the Erasmus Bridge. Continue a little further until the next traffic lights, then turn left and take the first left again. After a while you will see the Spido office.
If passengers alight there they can walk across the Erasmus Bridge to the museum in ten minutes. Alternatively, they can be dropped off at the museum itself, and the coach can then park next to the Spido.

The general booking conditions as described on the Group visits page apply to group visits and/or guided tours. Visitors who have booked via a tour operator pay a reduced admission fee of € 4,00 per person.

The museum is accessible for wheelchair users.
