Read these instructions carefully so that you can use all the possibilities of the web shop. If you want to start quickly then read in any case the following section.
quick start
Follow these ten steps to order a photograph online:
1. Log in via the button 'Log in' at the top left of the screen
2. Look for the photograph you want in the image bank via the Image bank page
3. Add it to your order by clicking on the Shopping cart icon
4. Do this for all photographs that you want to order
5. On the left of the screen click on ‘Shopping cart’ under ‘My fotomuseum’ and choose ‘Place an order’
6. Ordering screen 2 Ordering: Choose the correct product from the menu next to the photograph
7. Ordering screen 2 Ordering: Indicate how many copies you need of each photograph
8. Ordering screen 3 Addresss: Fill in your address
9. Ordering screen 4 Confirm: Confirm your order and pay online
10. If you have chosen a download you will receive an e-mail message with the download link within a few minutes.
logging in
You can log in at any time during your visit to the website. The first time, however, you will need to register. Do this by clicking ‘Log in’ which appears at the top of every page. Choose ‘register’ and fill in your details. Required details are indicated with a star (*). Details of your account will be sent directly to the e-mail adress you have specified. After logging in, the section ‘My museum of photography’ will appear on the left side. You now have more possibilities to save selections and to order photographs. After your visit you can log out by clicking ‘Log out’ at top right.
my fotomuseum
'My museum of photography' combines a number of handy functions:
- My details: Fill in or change your details. If you checkmark the box that you want to be kept informed you will henceforth receive the electronic newsletter.
- Selections of photographs: Collect photographs by clicking on the folder icon under the pictures. You can create and manage additional folders. Here professional clients can find selections offered and made ready by the museum of photography.
- Shopping cart: Here you can view photographs and books that have been added to your shopping cart and start the ordering process. Books and photographs cannot be ordered at the same time.
- Order history: View orders dealt with
- Open orders: View your outstanding orders and track them
Tip: If you want to add several photographs at the same time to your personal selection or shopping cart, you can checkmark the photographs concerned and then choose Selected records at the bottom of the page in order to:
- add to shopping cart
- add to a personal selection
- remove from a personal selection
- move to one of your other personal selections
The icon enables you to select all records of a search result, even when several pages are involved.
search yourself
In the Image bank you will find various search options. Each section has instructions for use which can be found under the tab ‘Introduction’ and the query icon. When you log in and you see the shopping cart icon under the photographs found, it means you can add them to your shopping cart. If there is no shopping cart icon then the photograph is not available.
address details
Your address details have to be filled in during the ordering process, but if you already did that on registering then that address will be automatically filled in. If required, fill in an alternative address for billing and delivery. Changes of address can be passed on via My museum of photography under My details.
payment
This website allows you to pay online, but you can also make an ‘old-fashioned’ bank transfer. The following methods of payment are accepted:
- Postbank Internet banking
- Rabobank Internet banking
- ABN-AMRO Internet banking
(These three are combined under the name iDeal)
- VISA-card
- MasterCard
- Bank transfer
Online payments are via ING Bank’s secure TWYP connection. The museum of photography receives no confidential information from TWYP about your payment. The web shop is informed when payment has been made and your order is then processed.
In the TWYP payment screen select select ‘card’ if you want to pay with credit card, ‘iDeal’ for payment via Internet banking, or ‘bank transfer’ if you wish to transfer the amount by hand. In the case of the last method of payment, there is a delay of at least one day. If you order a download, you will receive an e-mail message with a download link almost immediately after payment.
invoice
An invoice will be sent to you in the form of an e-mail with a PDF attachment.
conditions
The copyright on photographs that you purchase is held by the Nederlands Fotomuseum. Further reproduction, in whatever form at all, other than expressly indicated in the invoice, is not allowed without prior written permission from the Nederlands Fotomuseum. exceptions and rights
Prints of photographs by Ed van der Elsken are only sold via Annet Gelink Gallery in Amsterdam. In the case of purchases of new prints of photographs by Aart Klein, Peter Martens and Steef Zoetmulder permission first has to be obtained from the photographer or his heirs. Photographs by these photographers are not available for downloading and printing at home, and extra costs are attached to their publication if purchased.
