The museum of photography has made a selection for you of beautiful and special images from its collection. In the museum shop you can purchase a photograph from this selection for your own collection, or you can order it online. Other photographs from the collection can also be ordered. There are three million negatives to choose from. There is certainly a photograph to be found of every imaginable subject.
purchasing via the web shop
The museum of photography has made part of its collection available as downloads for private individuals. After payment has been made you can download these photographs and print them out yourself. The majority of the photographs in the collection of the museum of photography still have to be digitalised or processed. If you want to order a downloadable version of a photograph that has not yet been digitalised an extra charge applies. Read the instructions before entering the web shop.

high-quality
The photographs are printed in the darkroom on high-quality baryt paper by Hans Bol, the museum’s photographer. He takes into account the way that the photographer would have printed the photograph him- or herself. The hand of this ‘master printer’ guarantees that all the original nuances of the photographic image are easily visible. Colour photographs are supplied as durable inkjet prints with pigment inks. The photographs are not produced in a limited edition but are blind stamped by the Nederlands Fotomuseum. The photograph is printed as large as possible on a single sheet in the same cropping as shown. Allowance, however, has to be made for a minimal margin of approx. 1 cm. around the photograph.
economical selection
Prints selected by the museum of photography are more economical than a print chosen by yourself. Click here to proceed to this economical selection. We will be glad to help with any other or special wishes you may have. When you purchase, you also receive information about how you can best conserve and frame your new acquisition.
print of choice
The prices for a print of choice are different from the prices for
photographs from the selection. In the case of special orders there may
be extra costs for conducting a search. The museum staff inform you
about these costs in advance, after which you can decide whether to
allow the order to proceed. Delivery time is approximately ten working
days. You can also download photographs from the image bank and print
them out yourself. But you may not reproduce or publish the photographs
in any other manner, including websites.

making an appointment
Not all the archives can be consulted. The staff of the Collections department will be glad to hear what you are interested in so that they can then tell you whether the images you want are available and can have them acclimatised and ready for you. Every first Monday of the month you can make an appointments to have a look at the archives in the visitors’ space of the Collections department.
