New in the museum: Nabeelden - Afterimages |
On Sunday the fifth of September, at 15 hours, the installation Nabeelden will officially be presented by Dirk van Weelden. The installation contains stories of never made pictures of photographers like Hans Aarsman, Ad van Denderen en Martine Stig. From this day on you can listen to the stories in Nabeelden permanently in the Fotomuseum.
What happens if an important moment cannot be captured for the ages? If you don't have a camera with you, or the film is used up? To what extent does that missed photograph influence your thinking, your imagination? Visual artist Rein Jelle Terpstra collects these ‘images’ and makes them ‘visual’ for the public after all, by letting the photographers tell their stories and descriptions. 27 stories have been collected.
