Frits J. Rotgans
13.MAR.2010_16.MAY.2010 The Dutch photographer Frits J. Rotgans was known for his spectacular raking wide-angle photographs of the port of Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Schiphol. His colour photography is quite unknown, but equally spectacular. Now for the first time on show a selection of his most beautiful full colour photographs of the prosperous Netherlands in the seventies. From Keukenhof to the construction of the Amsterdam subway, from camping sites to Schiphol, from windmills to DAF factories. All in typical seventies colours.

the prosperous Netherlands The Nederlands Fotomuseum that manages his legacy presents a selection of his finest colour photographs that gives an exceptional image of the prosperous Netherlands in the seventies of the twentieth century. Subjects are among others: recreation (the Keukenhof, camping or beach), classic town views (Dordrecht, Gouda and Edam), the construction of the subway in Amsterdam, the DAF-factories, Schiphol, the mills of Kinderdijk and the Dutch landscape.
